Slate tiles are beautiful choice as no tile is the same, making your floor or wall instantly unique.

Slate tiles are available in a number of different finishes; riven slate tiles have a structured surface which is extremely slip-resistant and hard-wearing, suitable for high traffic areas. We wouldn’t recommend choosing a riven stone if you want to go barefoot though as the finish is a little sharp for your delicate toes.

Brushed slate tiles have an extra brushing to the surface in production that softly polishes the riven surface, resulting in a slightly softer structured surface that still retains the beauty of natural slate tiles, but you can take your socks off!

Honed slate tiles are totally smooth, the brushing of the surface is continued in production until the tile is flat and smooth with no structure, all you can see is the stunning pattern of the stone.
